Just an idea, but how about have the vampiric touch spell gain more life from the victim if they have a higher con, like a dwarf? Another weak constitution race wouldn't give much. Like I said an idea, I just throw it out there. |

It drains life based on how much damage it does to the victim, so get a higher savebreak maybe. This is a spell where you get damage/heal at the same time, and the damage potential is pretty high, so don't expect a lot of health. I would be surprised if it returns any more than 10% of the energy it took, if it wasnt simply fully resisted. Its something you should find working ok on mobs and quite a gamble to use upon a player against high resistance. The best way to regen is always going to be spells that only cure. |

Yeah necros best chance is to flee and vamp touch guards or something, itd be better to waste combat time using rend life. |

Make a caballed one, forget VT and use MS's/RW's. VT sucks nowadays w/o a good SB, but decent SB also reduces HP decently, so at the end you still end up gimped. |

So wait until you take 100 damage and wear savebreak? Don't see how that's still ending up gimped. |

If you can wear save break and get away with it healthwise then go for it, if not stick with dam for rend life. |
