Nunchaku and fans are personal side arms ninjas are able to create like a rangers staff. Nunchakus are classed as flails and the damage is quite good but they are best used as offhand weapons. Fans are classed as exotics and are the female ninja version of nunchakus. |

can ninjas create them? thought they had to be found or bought.
do they create them with existing flails and exotics, raw materials, or out of thin air?
nice thing is that it gives a little japanese rp touch, and their attack rates are probably a bit better than regular flails/exotics.
another important question is, does it get a foreign weapon type bonus as well? probably not if they are classified under flails and exotics, but i noticed ninjas get separate %s for those weapons. |

You create them like rangers and druids do with thier staffs.
Attack rates are about normal i would say, so no uber weapons there.
I think they pretty much follow the standard foriegn weapon type bonus system in place now.
The separate %s you have seen are for using flails and creating nunchakus. Considering the initial damage you create nunchakus with i'm glad nuchakus are quite high on the skills list. As for fans i can only speculate as i am not going to create a female ninja just to check fans damage output and bonuses. |

Nunchaku is pronounced 'NUN-chuk' right? I've always wondered this. |

IN my karate classes we pronounce the U at the end, Nun-chuck-uu, but I suppose if you're talking to someone who knows nothing of martial arts then they might make faces at you. |

hahaha, no, not really. I can barely win a sparring match...course I'll be going to a camp and learning how to use the Kamas, that'll be fun. (For those of you who don't know Kamas are sort of like a set of mini sickles) |

I looked at that site once and it reminded me of that cartoon 'Teenage mutant ninja turtles'. |
