|
|
Since last week, when I try questor nothing comes up.
I assumed that it was just because my character desc, was too short. So I took a little time to remember how to edit descriptions and now it's about 7 lines formatted.
Would that be the only reason for questor not working, and should this be resovled now?
I used to be on this MUD a very long time ago, and am trying to get back into it now. Please advise...
Thanks |

Could you please log an ISSUE in-game with a full description of the issue and we'll be happy to investigate and help! |

I just attempted to do so. Have not logged an issue previously, so if it has not come through properly let me know and I'll keep trying.
Sincere apologies, but I'm just not used to the process of creating and editing Notes/Issues, etc
Thanks for any help.
As mentioned therein, for some reason selling certain items to shopkeepers is having the same "no response" outcome. |

some items cannot be sold to the vendor. if it's something that was bought from that vendor when you try to sell it back you won't get any msg at all. almost all other things if you try to sell it will say he does not look interested in that. |

I'm unable to duplicate the questor issue so far. |

Is this using the web client? Sometimes it has issues parsing the questor output . |

Here's a copy paste of what I just attempted upon login moments ago.
Sorry it took days to get back, we were out of town.
q
questor
help questor
'QUESTOR'
Syntax: questor
Syntax: questor complete
Syntax: track <quest#>
Syntax: abandon <quest#>
Syntax: abandon completed <quest#> (immortal only)
And I have been logging directly though the webclient from this abandoned realms page.
At least right now I'm just going to be practicing some skills for a bit. But once I get some proficiencies up, it would be great to be able to see my active quests.

Thanks for the comment about the client.
I installed Mushclient, which I remember using 15+ years ago.
Questor works through that. I will say however, I don't like the display nearly as much as using the webclient directly from the ar website. |

I figured as much. once you do whatever quest is causing it to get stuck it should begin working again. |

So I attempted to sell a ring to the Jeweler. My understanding is that if they give a value, they are willing to buy it. The only caveat I was aware of was that if they did not have enough gold to do so they would express that when sell was requested.
This wasn't through the web-client (just in case that was a problem as well).
val ring
Mire the jeweler tells you 'I'll give you 47 gold coins for a fractured signet ring.'

I don't believe any shopkeepers will take "gambled" equipment. When I say gambled it would include the overlord items as well. Things that are Fractured/Earthen/Dragonblood/etc... Hopefully one of these other folks can confirm that. It's been a while since I've tried. But it should probably return something back to you to let you know. |

Like I said, I was unaware that a shop-keep would give a value and then not purchase, unless it was an issue of "not enough gold". Of course I can travel to other cities to see if the similar shop-keeps there will purchase items, but in a slow but sure manner, I'm trying to build my own Apparel/Weapons listing of Stats & Abilities.
That's why I started back with an Illusionist before jumping in with a tank, or what-not. |

Its kind of interesting perspective, you definitely sound like you have fresh eyes on things. After 20 years of this game I can see I'd taken that for granted long ago. Good observation. |

Close to 20 years ago was when I used to play this game, then life happened. That's why I need to start building a new EQ listing and familiarity with areas and abilities for a bit before I dive into any heavy action.
Use to love running around with my Healer Abuquipa. I swear even in that heavy PK era, actually getting killed was so rare. But again, that's part of the joy of being a healer. Everyone that you can group with loves you to death, and if you knew how and where to escape and lay low, you were nearly impossible to take down unless someone extremely dedicated to you demise just had a hair up their behind. |
