well you get 60 deaths give or take so 25 is halfway to 50 so no more than 30 deaths by level 25 |

Personally, I don't like having a character with huge CON deficiency but that depends on the class really. Probably by 8 deaths at level 25 i'm gonna send it to the graveyard but that's just me. I doubt any of my characters exceed like 20 deaths. So comparatively, I guess I do delete pretty early too. |

Vets don't usually die more than once before 50 if that. So I'd say for newbies and lowbies probably around 10 def not more than 20 or you are doing it all wrong |

This poll is a bit too general because I think you are aiming it for your average experienced player, but new folks might read this and think they have to delete early. For someone who starts out totally new I wouldn't worry about deaths at all. I've seen 20-30 deaths on <NEW> characters around level 25 because they are exploring and accidentally wander into the jaws of death. Which is perfectly fine!
If you are considering this as a more experienced player (and especially if you want a long-lived character), then worries about con loss are definitely legit. I think it might be neat to have a religion-based con quest (+1 con as quest reward) available for those who are acolytes (pledged) and up. |

vets often die before 50. Lots of vets don't even get to 50 on their characters, especially ones that are testing out a class.
I don't delete because I died, I delete because of the effects of dying. My character is now a wuss |

Deaths are a learning experience. There's no such thing as too many unless you're suiciding. |

The correct answer is 2. If at first you don't succeed, try again. Then give up, there's no point making a fool of yourself. 5 will win this poll because its the closest to 2. |

I'm on board with this. Though depending on the risk of dying, it may prove counter-productive..if not moot by quest's end. I suppose that's something implementors would work out.
EDIT: It'd flavor it further if the quests varying focal points reflected heavily off the religions from which they're given.
EDIT #2: The first edit was unnecessary. /derp has visited to inform me that Vanisse's remark already suggested what I conveyed therein. |
