Yeah. To be clear, the disarm to ground thing on manual disarm and secondary disarms (clobber, uncanny, etc.) going to inventory and drop if you flee right away has all been in since early to mid 2018. This change only makes manual offhand disarm, shield disarm, and demonic visage also go to ground for consistency across all disarms. |

Oh.
I guess it's not as big an issue as I thought since apparently I've never actually experienced it. |

yeah the biggest part of the change will be the ability for certain classes to disarm mobs of weapons, shields, or offhand weapons without killing them |

Isn't this exactly what it was like back in the late 1990s and early 2000? I remember steamrolling warlords on Ugula because I was wielding vainglory/battlemaster blade, flying (from pot) and sanc'd (from pot) and they couldn't do a fucking thing other than sit there and maybe try to kick. That was awesome. |

I think this is an awesome idea. I saw a mention of the secondary effects such as overhead, or clobber. What about something like poison or weaken where if the weapon is too heavy to wield, will that be considered a disarm and drop to the ground if the person flees right away? |

Rothak, I don't believe that is current behavior, but we can certainly discuss it here. It sounds good to me. |

That happens to me already when creatures weaken me. I got -7 and my weapon dropped right into my inventory. |

I meant -7 str and also only that my weapon drops into my inventory when I become too weak to wield it. |

Yeah I think actually dropping it just for the str penalty would be too harsh. You're not too weak to hold it, just too weak to wield it. Or maybe just too weak to wield it one-handed |

Just FYI, necromancers currently do not have the curse weapon spell. It only seems dark-knights have that available to them. |

wow I had no idea
I guess it's just vampires that have normal curse weapon now. Maybe another class can get that skill in the future if it's not on necros anymore. |
