So, how many different threads do you think DropThat will post in where:
1) DropThat will say that banning specific IPs rather than ISPs work to cut down cheaters even after being explained how IPs and ISPs work.
2) DropThat will say that making players who broke a rule repeat the major tenets of the rules (often including the one they broke) is condescending or rude or some similar adjective.
3) (the kicker) the thread will have nothing to do with the topic above (rule enforcement), but DropThat will post in it anyway.
Hint: There's already at least two! |

When the novelty of having a complete fucking moron around whose single purpose in life is to produce stupid fucking posts which are all within a 75% margin the exact same post, and all involving more then one paragraph are essentially the first paragraph repeated over and over again, he's gonna go away. And I had just written a detailed explanation on how I'd kill Dropthat, but it's a bit psycho, so I'll leave it out. |

hey dumbass I said the way the rule rooms are worded is mean. theres one that say "you cant Do blah blah blah. Say it. you cant do blah blah blah. say it now!"
and what I was saying about IP and ISP is people only get one IP from their ISP so you can block them and leave everyone else alone. don't you guys know about networking?? the internet is ( guess what ) a network. And banning all of AOL is like owning a store then kicking everyone from a certain part of town or neighborhood out of the store because one person from there stole something.
If you let more people in the percentage %<-- of cheaters wont change, and if you just ban their IP you can let the rest stay in. or you can just kick every character that cheats. dont you think that people who get characters repeatedly kicked for cheating would either give up or just follow the rules?? what would be the point of playing just to lose a char again and again for cheating.. most people from ISPs such as AOL would prob either leave or decide to follow the rules.
this could increase your player base a lot. eer notice how the other muds in the top 20 have more than 200 people. this one has about 60.... |

well, if your on modem and you dial up you'll get a differant ip.. i think.. and you say the percent of cheaters won't go up if more people come in, which is wrong. because the more people there is in the game. more likely someone is going to want to try to cheat. and we may only have '60' players in your words. but if having 200 people means theres more people like you. well im happy with the 59 decent people, and the 1 jackass. |

That's your IP your router gives you. Your ISP given IP is different. |

Networks have a different number of "fixed" IPs in their range..
A class A network will have the first IP number always fixed, while the other three change..
A class B network will have the first TWO IP numbers fixed etc..
Within that fixed network range, there are always ways to change the one/two/three UNFIXED numbers (the last ones)..
Thus, to ban a person, you must ban the FIXED numbers, which represent the whole ISP.
DropThat, give up, you're a goofball. |

Ummm... If the pipe is inserted rectally, wouldn't you die from internal bleeding? Unless your used to things being stuck up there. In which case, yes lead is poisonous, so you would eventually die. Still disturbed about that post though Seryie |
