Background ain't enough, it shows the general attidute and beliefs of a character, but it can change during his life.
We need a diary-like stuff, where one can write about his current state and what-not. For immortals only to read.
eg.
"Because he has led such a structured life, he'll most likely seek to
join the Justice and further it's goals. He is very, very respectful of
strength (not position), so I'm not sure how long he'll last as a
subordinate, but if he becomes Anathema, so be it - that really won't
change things all that much for him."
or the perspective of view could wary, you dont need to write there in 3rd person...just a continuing story of the characters life, beliefs, hesitations and stuff. |

Make a frickin' herald. 'nuff said. Then you can write notes all the time and feel more important about what type of mood you're in. |

There are already non-caballed, non-coteried characters who used what they had (note system, Herald publishing) to further their RP. If I remember correctly Zasa kept his own "diary," a page of which he submitted to Heralds, which told a lot of his background story. I think it was printed somewhere in Volume 2 of the Mystique. If you are afraid of your notes being erased, ask a Herald to bind them into parchment.
Anyway, Immortals aren't the people you should be trying the most to impress. It's your fellow mortals. You pull it off, you'll get more kudos both in life and in the graveyard than highly secretive characters with great background storylines that everyone complains about because he said nothing but "Squwee" in public. |
