Responding based off of this comment in the polls forum:
"With both this and the other "stone giant druid" thread, I did not see much substance to explain how exactly this improves the game..."
Looking at the players tab, druids aren't exactly the least-played class in the game. So it's not like I can say something like "awww man, stone giant druid would be a huge influx for the druid class!" Then again, druids are just coming off of a rework, so it would be interesting to see if those numbers deflate after a few more months.
That said, I think having symmetry among the giant races is nice. Each of them would have access to warrior, berserker, and one cleric option. Playing a giant cleric is always a challenge, so I don't think you would see this massive influx of stone giant druids especially when treant is a very viable option. But this would be similar to how you don't see a lot of fire giant shamans when minotaur is a very solid option. That doesn't mean we don't allow, or even encourage fire giant shamans when we see them.
As a giant lover myself, I think this would be a very fun race-class combo to play once you got through the training grind. Just my two cents. |
