The Theran Mystique - Volume 1, Issue 3
[MYSTIC]

Recent events have brought the Mystics to the forefront of cabal affairs and politics with their alliance with the Emperor of the Abyss, and their support of the Fell. This action puzzled many as the Fell are servants of the lich Zaikkra, the Nemesis of the Emperor. However, it has come to our attention that the Mystics support the Fell in order to have them wipe out the other Therans, thus accomplishing the dirty work for the Emperor. Currently the Mystics will not disclose any information about their numbers or members. However, they do feel that the Heralds are improving their ways and have thus revealed the following:

First and foremost, many have been questioning the allowance of demons to enter our world, and apparently they feel this action was well-thought out. Second, it was stated that in the near future the land of Thera will be guided by the Ivory Tower, which makes one ponder the motives of our magic-loving neighbors. As for now, the residents of the Tower are going to continue to watch, prepare, and remain silent.

Moments before Tayku surrendered himself to the Ether he handed a short note to a certain mortal. The note outlined that it is important that the Tower knows he watches over them. Supposedly Tayku said that 'A little bit of him is now in everyone, for he is part of the Ether, and everyone is Ether.' The Heralds bid Tayku Farewell.

[JUSTICE]

Two major policy changes were made recently in the Justice cabal. First, any and all protection from the Justice in protected areas was removed with regard to the Fell, as they are not native Therans, and a menace to all. Second, the seventh law was changed, making any attack upon a guild guardian a flaggable offense, no questions asked. This is a step-up from the old policy, which mandated a fine. Several new members Addreodyn, Talasia, Detheur, Gasire, Tradkan, Odhran, and Regnak.

[WARLORD]

The Warlords seemed to be in a rebuilding phase, but now there are several new up-and-comers, and several inductees are amassing enviable records. Among the current Warlords are Tergore, Horban, Dunthbar, Tyrausk, Corgath, Manroug, Grizack, and Kurak. The Warlords, however, have been noticeably absent from the propaganda fight against the assorted threats to Thera, but needless to say, it is more common to see a Warlord fighting with a sword than a quill. There have also been some rumors about a certain Warlord dishonorably killing a ninja several times. Of course... what could possibly be dishonorable about killing a ninja?

[ASSASSIN]

Business appears to be profitable, with the one dubbed Obfuscate leading the way with more than twenty times the goald made than his nearest competitor. As always, transactions may be made with Vinnie in Seringale.

[LEGION]

The Legions have been busy as ever, and as of late it was not an uncommon sight to see a blood shrine. However, no full-out declared conflict has yet to come between the Legion and their perennial enemies, the Knights. A recent scroll from the Legion states that they are seeking applicants, preferably monks, warriors, and berserkers. Legion has been involved in the events between Thera and the Abyss, as it was they who forged the Gem of Souls and released Zaikkra the Lich. Activity in the cabal has dropped off slightly since then. As a courtesy to the Legion, the Theran Mystique does not publish the name of Legionnaires.

[HERALD]

The halls of the Conservatory have been quite noisy, as there is much to do and many to do it. The Heralds are still seeking applicants, however. The cabal complement consists of Teanna, Shruian, Kalerin, Ravarin, Somona, Keeb, Lurand, Salen, Mothar, Craven, and Danilo. The Heralds' primary task currently is to put out this fine publication to preserve the history being made by Thera, today. If you have any gossip, events, battles concerning those in cabals or those at their pinnacle, or even general questions, please contact a Herald or scribe a note to us.

[KNIGHT]

The Castle of Valour has been swarming with activity as of late. Several squires were inducted, and several more were placed in the program. Among the most major news from the Castle is the passing of Anvangulen from his berth as mortal leader of the Knights and Executor of Valour after a long and fruitful career. Long considered Anvangulen's right hand storm-giant Lourn rose from his position as Guardian to take the position of Executor. In addition, Soluminus has went into seclusion in a monastery and another has temporarily taken his place. With several promotions as well, the structure of the Knight's hierarchy can certianly be said to have changed as of late. Their roster is as following: Lourn the Executor of Valour, Naydra, Ulantop, and Kindinalin as Guardians of Valour, Sinosat and Jijit are Archons of Valour, Metronas and Derius are Knights of Valour, and lastly, Mbeki, Eriel, and Ceariya are the Disciples of Valour.

PLEASE NOTE:

Because of the constant flux of the Cabals of Thera, please inform the Heralds of any and all inaccuracies or ommissions. In addition, the Heralds can not be held accountable for the accuracy of these reports, as it is only a collection of the information they were able to collect from you.
