Thedius enjoyed a long and relaxing life. He spent the majority of his
days in his fields tending to his crops and the nights with his feet up on a
table, his hound by his feet, and fine tobacco in his pipe. His life was
not fulfilling by any means, but Thedius was satisfied. Eventually he
married and had children and then his children had children. Life was
simple for Thedius before the plague. It started out as blight on his
crops, Thedius took a loss and quarantined and burned the afflicted corn.
It was too little too late. Within weeks his fields were in ruins, crops
would spoil seemingly overnight. Eventually his wife and children took ill
and Thedius no longer had the resources to care for them. Day and night
Thedius slaved in his fields, a seemingly futile task since the fruits of
his labor yielded only spoiled vegetables. One day while pulling the last
of his cabbages out of the ground to burn, the index finger on his left hand
simply fell off. It would appear that while Thedius himself seemed immune
to whatever was slowly killing his family, enough contact with the blight
itself was slowly ruining his body. Thus began the process of Thedius
slowly replacing bits and pieces of himself with parts from the freshly
deceased. Thedius had no choice, he couldnt afford to not work, and he
needed to come up with some way to provide for his family. It got to the
point where Thedius was completely unrecognizable and was almost entirely
made up of others entirely. Thedius finally returned to his house and found
that his family had passed long ago. Having spent all his time in the
fields, Thedius had missed out on his familys final moments. With nothing
left Thedius made his way to the city of Solace and attempted to make a new
life for himself. He was able to work many jobs and appeared to no longer
need rest, being well suited for both manual labor and standing for long
periods of time. After a stent with the watch in Solace Thedius decided to
move on to Seringale, in hopes of escaping the ghosts of his past.
Description:
Emerald green eyes burn with intensity beneath furrowed brows. This
creature looks as if he should have died eons ago. Patches of skin have
been sewn together to create the horrific landscape of a being that stands
before you. Other aspects of this creature appear to have been attached
haphazardly, almost as if as an afterthought, and do little to add even a
speck of humanity to whatever abomination this man is. A mouth is planted
beneath a gap that is assumed to be a nose; half of it is raised in what is
vaguely assumed to be a smile while the other side hangs lifeless in almost
a drooping fashion, more similar to a frown. His mouth is filled with
teeth, but the vast majority of them appear to be mismatched and even
potentially belonging to animals or other non-humans. His limbs are
scrawny, and it is almost not surprising that they resemble bones. They
stick out at odd lengths and angles and it is suspected that whatever
demented being, whoever it may be that put him together, had absolutely no
idea what they were doing.
