Alive!
A thick needle threaded with sinew tugged at the leather skin, attaching one piece to another. The final hole was sewn together and a tiny tube was shoved roughly into a clearly visible swollen vein. Metal and decay filled the air as black and crimson blood swirled its way down the tube and into the creature causing it to turn a sickly, greyish pink. A few quick words of magic flowed from the creator and with a violent jerk the creature jolted to life. It flopped, flapped, kicked, and screamed but its eyes finally focused on the creator and it calmed. Waves of energy brought a type of sentience to the creation. Through metal plates it focused on the room and tilted her head slightly. "Go stand over there." Said the creator testingly. Without a thought the creature was already across the room standing vigilantly, waiting for a command. "Very good," the voice continued, "Now keep this place clean and in order until I say otherwise." He eyed the creature for a moment before leaving down a poorly lit hallway. The moment dust began to settle, the creature would strech its wings momentarily and set to keeping it clean. The books became organized, potions labeled, and ingredients put back on their shelves. These events continued for an untold amount of time, after all there was no view of the outside world, but she kept at it, even long after her creator stopped coming back. A blast tore through the wall, ripping a gaping hole in the rock and dousing the creature in shrapnel and shattered potions. Terror. What was this feeling? How do I breathe!? A sea of black washed over her, and when the sea of black left she was washed in light coming in from the massive hole that used to be a wall. What was she supposed to do? Where was the creator? With a sense of urgency she flew out and into the light. From here on what must have been a cave in the side of a mountain she could see a flurry of movement off in the distance far below.

Description:

An extremely unnatural sight hovers before you, disbelievingly staying in flight. One wing is an obnoxious bright blue and dripping with a thick, brown slime. Flapping opposite of it is a much, much smaller wing covered in tiny, white feathers. These ridiculous wings are attached to a pinkish, shrunken body of some sort. Little yellow bird legs stretch out at an angle that makes them appear sideways. The head is quite curious, being a halflings head with a sharp nose and sharper chin. Its eyes are hidden behind round metal plates, with only a small lense in the center of each. Overly white hair is shaved extremely short and reveals an uneven scar down the center of the head.

Long lasting and interesting from a few different perspectives. Could have been a bit more aggressive. Seemed more like a half-Elf than a quasit. Other than that good job.
      1. I can get that perspective, but I don't feel evil = aggressive. Her mentality on things was definitely evil. Did you ever experience her rituals?

I personally agree that evil doesn't have to mean aggressive. Everything she did was in an evil-like manner. All because she wasn't out killing everyone doesn't mean much. Those rituals are super evil ;)

Evil has different shades. The blood-spiller and the blood-drinker can be two main subsets. Very generalized monikers, I know. One spills the blood, the other drinks what's already spilt (or prepares it to be spilled by someone else). Thamu was the latter. These two main subsets can further split into other subsets, but usually remain in-line with whatever main they split from.

A blatant disregard for the lives of anyone that isn't useful should be present, though that does not necessarily have to be obvious to those they interact with.

The insidious can be brazen or quietly clever.

Great run, Thamu. It was a solid character, but I will admit the char didn't come across too dark. Limited interaction with the char may be the reason for this, though. I'm undecided about HoE. I want to think about it more.

My favorite moment was calling you out on spitting in Seringale when you did your create spring ecast. Thanks for a great character man/women/who ever you are
      1. It was on the border of breaking laws but really I thought it was funny it took someone that long to point it out.

Easily my most favorite character in ages... Thank you for everything.

What do I do with this bracelet now?
      1. Keep it on, of course. Undead Thamu would end up merging with you.
      2. HoE? I think so the char held top pk spot and did great Rp as well as lasted a long time. I hated thamu only cause she made me behave ;)

I didn't nominate because of what beia said. she was super passive for an evil. her best friend was a healer. a solid character yes. I don't think they made hoe
      4. thamu's main focus was on liver and justice if it didn't consist of them then she didn't give a flying fuck i still Vote HoE because as a liver loving justice she did great.

Longevity and a nice PK ratio, was a cabal leader (despite the spot being practically reserved for somebody else, because we've been pushing for paladin Justice leaders for the last year. He overcame that and stood out on merits as the obvious wisest choice), was featured in the Mystiques a lot, and there is an Immortal saying "easily my most favorite character in ages". ... looks pretty fantastic to me
        1. i was gonna say i don't vote people HoE often and i interacted with thamu on many chars and she made it fun and when we roleplayed medics and started making secret brews for i think cyprian and cured his ailment, started D&T doctors, i am still voting +1 HoE

So I didn't really put anything aside from saying that I liked the character/favorite character so I'll go into it a little bit, so at least you know why I say it.

From the start, before even talking to you, I see that AMAZING description. Honestly, I barely tested you because the description was so good, I figured you just knew all about Justice: aka a vet player(Descriptions go a long ways for me).

The PK ability shows, so the fantastic RP mixed in with it was just grand. You never broke character once with me, which can be really hard to do in certain situations. From spending multiple real life hours searching for ONE secret and finally getting it, to you and Vanisse literally forcing me to eat liver, I never found any of our time boring, and it actually brought life to my character again. I will certainly miss getting the "HELLO!?!?!" greeting every time I log on.

That is only a minor bit of the stuff. But it's some of the things AR needs more of. If I actually find myself laughing out loud at my computer screen, then the character was just simply fantastic. And I did that almost every time I was with you. If other people didn't see how great the character was, that's fine, but just know the character actually was great, and I hope to see more down the road.

I see no where in either one of my posts where I state she is HoE worthy. Granted I think she is, but you seem to be really against it. If I simply just compare the characters that have made it, this one is easily a shoe-in. But like everyone else here, we all have opinions.

A bit of controversy needn't rule a guy out completely. It just means someone to decide. If there weren't merit we wouldnt even be talking about it

I am not voting on this one either way, because I had very limited exposure to the char.
Tayyah, the voting process is very generalized. With the final say so by "Big Brother", deciding if they feel the char should be in HOE or not.
Voglin, no offense to Faelon whatsoever..Love just about all your chars, is a great example of "How/why did they get into HOE". He had one, I repeat one active moth as a char...deleted, got mostly no-votes, still in exalted somehow..
HOE is for characters either voted in by the majority of players, or voted in by "Big Brother's" opinion.

Anyhow, good job Thamu. Enjoyed the rp logs. Come back with another char.

This is some of the most fun I have ever had on a character. The description was created when quasits first came about and was initially set up for a totally different RP if I remember correctly, but hands down my favorite description for any of my characters. Mix that with all of the ecasts I had set up (Clean dirt anyone?) and her rp nailed exactly what I wanted it to be.

This character was ridiculously evil when it came to everything that wasn't combat really. Ask cyprian how evil Thamu was and I have no doubt he would shiver in fear. Between some questionable rituals and some quick doctoring work (thanks to my assistant) cyprian survived(?) all the crazy things I attempted to do to him. As a justice I showed 0 mercy regardless of crime. Always sentenced to death without question.

          List of 'Thank You' follows:

VANISSE - YOU ARE THE BEST! between following along with our culinary adventures, injecting me as experimentation, to creating some items on the fly (Kedaleams bracelet) You were excellent. That isn't even the word... really, but I can't think of anything above awesome, excellent, and wonderful.

CYPRIAN - You are a perfect reason of why I didn't get bored in my hours of training. Anytime you spoke to me I was always searching for some way to get you roped in on another adventure that usually met a questionable fate. It generally worked too, and I appreciate that. Audibly laughing at a computer screen makes me happy.

KEDALEAM - Thanks for being cool, we didn't interact much as morts, but when you got immed we got some serious stuff going and that was awesome.

I am sure there are plenty more, but those three stick out in my mind right now.

Liver on my good friends, liver on.
          1. Of course, of course. I just regret that my char's alignment made it such that traveling together didn't happen as much as it could have, otherwise. My favorite emote was Thamu kicking her feet every now and then. I visualized it every time, and it was very amusing. 'Clean dirt' always made me smirk, too. Wish she hadn't gone, but decisions such as this should be respected.
          2. ....and that I'd actually consider buying a Thamu plushie as a collectible if well-detailed line of them existed....

....if that thought just crossed my mind, well, that says HoE, doesn't it? I'm not big on plushies.
