Can a Healer freely fraternize with (group with, heal, support morally, etc) an Evil-aligned character? |
Yes, Healers can support anyone they wish. |

No, it clearly is decreed by the Gods that Healers are the protectors of the Light, therefore shouldn't help Evils. |

Maybe. The role of a Healer is not written in stone, as long as they role-play superbly. |

Topic of discussion/disagreement recently in-game. Not naming any names so we can all discuss this here without giving away who we are. The main point of disagreement is whether a Healer can freely fraternize with (group with, heal, support morally, etc) an Evil-aligned character. Please vote and discuss. |

Group with evil = game won't allow it
Support evil with spells = reason for outcast
Moral support = fine, if it fits the RP |

Goods can't group with or cast spells on evils, it's against the code. As for supporting in other ways, seeing past good/neutral/evil labels is actually good RP not bad |

Azazhog gets this about right. Healers can be thought of as the priests that protect the innocent villagers while it is being invaded by the bad guys. Alignments on AR are easily viewable (not secret) and should generally be taken at face value by participants. Maybe there is the odd berk that is willing to play along and be nice to evils too, but most should want to call a spade a spade, because the evil team is a murdering/pillaging bunch, and pro-life healers should be more concerned about that than pleasantries. Also, when good helps evil, its only the good alignment player that gets punished, meaning healers should be extra careful how they interact with these hoodlums. Helping them out under those circumstances is like saying "Hey Imms, I WANT to be in trouble".
TLDR: Roll a shaman and quit being a berk. |

Thanks folks, glad my side of the arguement is clearly the right one
Imms, there's a couple of pinnacled healers ripe for Outcasting, if you care to watch for them. |

Just read this post and thought of an interesting argument, when the French Missionaries came to try to convert they actually lived with the Native Americans... Vs the Spanish (conquistadors) and English (Crusaders I suppose would be the equivalent)... |

If you see healers acting the way you don't think healers should act, use the report function.
If you are playing a crazy out there, get them to trust me then try to convert them healer, write a background so when you DO get in trouble for it you have some RP justification. |

To clarify, this sort of role is something that every Immortal would be interested in scrutinizing for illegal behaviour. So do not attempt this without first getting approval from RP imms like Vevier. Make sure you have the badge. |
