well, tack on two or three of my deaths to pure frustration against Rolf, I have the hardest time trying to figure out how to beat him...hell, it's forced me to take a short hiatus so I can enjoy the game again, and not /rage delete. When you're always losing, it's hard not to get discouraged. |

Well, get more knights on together. Who said you had to go 1v1 against another cabal? Besides.... 90% of the time I'm on, I see no caballed.... cough. |

Yes, let's encourage *more* ooc gangbanging across cabals. CABAL RULES say that you have to go 1v1 (unless you're defending your cabal, among other special circumstances). |

Right or wrong, your quickness to attack that suggestion sounds like you're afraid of it happening. Cabals or otherwise, 2v1 and even 3v1 battles happen all the time.
You're usually expected as a caballed 50 to at least be able to stand your ground against a 2v1... not necessarily to BEAT both of them, but usually to run around for a while and give 'em a good run for their money. It's the nature of the beast, and unfortunately when you're on top (40+ kills and ~10 deaths) people realize that the 1v1 idea just isn't a good one.
Good luck. |

Ah, yes, because I should really welcome people breaking both cabal and game rules and hopping on to 3 on 1 gangbang me blatantly ooc, which does happen. I don't mind fighting against the odds or against groups, but not when they are cheating.

Only works on contracted people. |

You're making the assumption that EVERY group of 2 or 3 people was assembled through ooc means. So does that mean that each time we see someone group together with someone else, we should bust them?
I'm not saying that ooc groups aren't blatantly obvious at times; we all know the groups of people that "magically" appear one after another and join up. However, with as many people as Rolf's made enemies with via his mass killing, I highly doubt that it would take much for 2 or 3 people that he's killed individually to think "Hmm, he whooped my ass pretty cleanly the last 3 times, and I can't get an edge. What, groupmate? You say he's whooped your ass too? Well by golly, maybe we can take him down together!"
Marsd's suggestion was "get more Knights on together," and "who said you had to go 1v1 against another cabal." He didn't say "get your buddies to ooc log on together at the same time." Under the right circumstances, most of the cabals CAN go 2- or 3-on-1 to accomplish their goals, and it's watched carefully. However, if your assumption that "more than one Knight logged on at a time HAS to be ooc," then you need to make a formal complaint if you suspect it. If there is a problem then let us know so it can be addressed. |

If it makes you feel better I can't even beat him, and I'm performing some outstanding running... I heard rumors that he was actually impressed with it. I still can't get him, I'm always on the run cause I don't do enough damage to be a real threat... |

To fight a shaman you need to have a lot of preps...
purple potions
protection potions (because of enhanced damage/frenzy)
detect potions (because of mass invis)
gyvel potions (because of blindness)
curing items (because of cures)
If you are trying to fight a shaman without all that, and you are not a healer/paladin, you are doing something wrong. Oh yeah, and keep in mind the shamans just going to spam word til you run out of stuff, so find a rhythm that allows you to keep replenishing it. |

With what? Bows and shots suck against shield block, which a shaman will use always. Double disarm, a shaman will use weapon ward. A ranger could PWN a shaman back in the day when he could actually call his pets, now the shaman pwns the ranger, end of story. |
