Seriously, if all the players voted twice a day, we'd be so set. Especially for all you trolling forum lurkers.. there's at least 30 of you out there.. That's 60 votes a day if you vote twice... we'd be 10th if that happened from the beginning of the reset. Not to mention how many of you troll from multiple comps.. |

Kyndig renamed itself MudMagic. I spent a good 20 minutes looking though their cluttered site for information on voting without finding anything. Only the top 20 voted muds are displayed and there are few recognizable names in that list. So I think they are better voting sites out there for your clicks.

On top mud sites, on the right hand side of all the listed muds...what are the (IN) (OUT) categories? |

IN = Our votes
OUT = the amount of people who clicked on our link from topmudsites.
You can see that we are not doing very good in the OUT stat. The mud with just one place higher than us has 53 views for example. |

We need more porn on this website. That draws geeks. And then they bite the heads off chickens. Which people would come to see. |

Ok this is why our rank is so low on TMC.
Quote: |
How TMC Ranks Listed Muds:
1. Every day TMC keeps track of all telnet clicks, homepage clicks and searches for the muds we list in our database. Our tracking software limits our users to contributing 1 click vote per day per mud (to prevent stats spamming). Telnet and homepage clicks are only tallied for requests that come from within the TMC website, external calls are ignored for stats purposes. While this will remain for telnet and homepage clicks we will soon be introducing 'VOTE' buttons that may placed on mud websites to allow their users to cast votes - these would contribute to the search statistic.
2. Daily, our stats software calculates 30-day moving averages using the raw click data from the previous 30 days (because of this muds which have not yet been listed for 30+ days are not yet ranked, in the mud's listing you would see 'Not yet ranked' in place of an actual rank). This effectively gives us active running averages for each mud's stats, historical stat data has no importance in the equation.
3. Each mud has an overall index calculated by the average of the 30-day moving averages for Telnet clicks, Homepage visits, and for Search clicks. These indices become the overall ranking for the mud. Each Top 10 listing includes a link to our full database listing for the mud and the raw 30-day Telnet, Homepage and Search click stats. |
So basically if we want to get into the top 10 there we have to do all that extra stuff. You really earn your rank at TMC. After you vote at TMC, you have to click the telnet/homepage links as well, so that your vote counts fully. A "vote" by itself just contributes to the search stat, which is 1 third.
It makes you enter even more codes to complete those links. *sigh* Only one a day here though. |

13 and climbing....awesome.
1. When you wake up, vote.
2. When you go to bed, vote
3. When you inhale, vote
4. When you exhale, vote
4. If you fart, vote
5. If you think of voting, you obviously haven't....vote
6. Dreaming of voting is allowed, only after voting.
7. If forget to vote, chop off a finger, but not your voting finger....then vote. |

There are ways around the 'clicking on telnet' and whatnot. Contact me if you would like to know how |
