what about opening minotaurs up a little, they need some love.
only berserkers come on at least let them get warrior or something as well.
would anyone be open to the idea of it? |

Make dual wielding any 2 axes a racial legacy for mino zerkers so mino warrior wouldn't have it. |

I'm 100% in favor of bringing back minotaur warriors. If there are balance issues Xenyar has a perfect solution |

Yes god yes bring back the warrior minos. I think that will put us with at least every race able to choose between two classes. |

This is about having races which are special for that class e.g. beast ranger, jotun for pal/dk, thats the opportunity cost. |

i think it would be more likely to feel like it was a unique opportunity if you had a class that was unique to a race (like vampire), rather than the other way around |

racial legacies are cool too, like when you think of invokers half elves are really attractive because of the mystic tendrils bonus even though elves and drows have better stats |

Well to be honest I forgot about the thread, and that's not an ideal thing to have happened either. But as for the thread's suggestion, what I get hung up on is having a Mahn-tor area which is full of minotaurs of various classes:
* Gorak, master warrior
* Sumaron, master cleric
* Darkoth, minotaur dark-knight
* Amyrok, minotaur "archmage" (I guess he's supposed to be an invoker)
* Tyrgoth, minotaur paladin
* Nasturn, minotaur monk (although obviously a druid based on the eq.)
* Belrak, minotaur ranger
* Dorgar, minotaur thief
Look at how many classes that is suggesting minotaurs are more than berserkers! And how many berserkers are in there? Zero. If any one of you can think of a way to resolve this dilemma that we would all like, then that will definitely pave the way for minotaur warriors. Otherwise, the answer (for now) is a no, because I don't think gradually adding all these possible combos of minotaur is the right way to go. Perhaps this just means renaming these mobs and gtg. |

Minotaur druid? That could be fun.
With that list of minotaurs, how about changing their races and making that hallway a jail? Seems easy enough and it takes care of those minotaur secret hidden classes in Mahn-Tor. |

In the minotaur help file it mentions how Diocletian converted them to humanoids so they can build themselves protection in the barren highlands. Then the minotaurs build mahn-tor as a civilized and fortified establishment. We can couple that with the ideas of minotuars from DL where they had entire civilizations and tons of religious structure to them. Sure, they still prefered fighting to solve things as a whole, but the clerics played huge parts in how the race thrived.
Warriors make the most sense as they don't all wildly flop about when fighting.
Clerics (maybe not druids?) also make plenty of sense due to their civilization structure and deity worship.
Rangers don't because minotaurs like their structure
Mages (All?) make less sense as they prefer bashing face.
Pally/DK actually kind of make sense in a strange way, for the more deity influenced minotaurs.
monk is just funny.... I don't see it at all. |

Jail sounds badass. Would minotaurs imprison things though? What's DL? Another thing I noted, is that mahn-tor is at adds with the (deleted) ogre village. |

HAHAHAHAHAHA jail is funny, that was my first initial thought in this thread. I wonder if that's from kung fu panda though, the minotaur run the prison for the bad guy in the first one. But that is what I was thinking. Mahn-tor is the warden. the ones in all the locked rooms are all prisons the outside is the just admission area. its really set up as a prison as it is. one way in. very locked up |

I'm in favor of overhauling the Mahn-Tor area when our schedule permits. |
