I suggested this after having a lot of lowbies asking my lvl 50 char to get them equipment lately, so let me know what you think.
After being asked countless times by young newbies if my level 50 char would help them get eq, I just have to think that none of them really understand the rules of the Mud. I don't know how feasible it would be, but I remember when I made my first char after about three and a half years off, I screwed up and got transferred and forced to walk through and read every rule before I was let off the hook. Granted that was an honest mistake with me as I'm sure it is with all these newbies, so I think it wouldn't be a bad idea to make it a requirement that each char, before leaving the newbie arena, have to go through a series of rooms requiring them to read and somehow acknowledge that they have read the rules and then ask at the end if they have any questions about them. I think something simple like this might help draw newbie's attention to the
rules, as I'm sure many of them overlook them in their excitement to get out and try out the Mud. Just a thought.

We only force people who screw up to read the rules, and that's the way it will be staying. |

Okay well, whatever. I'll just keep referring all the lowbies asking for equipment to rule 4 like I've been doing. |
